JAM Dance Academy Lakewood promises to bring the same quality teaching that we do to our North Ridgeville location while adding in a few ecclectic styles to the mix.

JAM Dance Academy Lakewood offers ballet training for ages 3 & Up. We focus on Russian and French methods with a bit of contemporary and neo-classical movement while in center. We believe that a dancers longevity is important to their training and promote a healthy lifestyle and working to sustain strength.
Little Jammers: Ages 3-4
Pre-Ballet: Ages 5-7

The cultural revolution that is hip-hop spawned entirely new forms of dance. Many styles, such as break dancing, originated on the streets and slowly found their way into dance competitions and
official venues.
This class is a fast-paced lesson in the history of the hip-hop genre. From the break beats of the early eighties and the sounds of DJ Afrika Bambaataa and Kool Herc to the latest clean hip-hop
track, this class offers nonstop funky beats and a fun workout to boot.
Taught by our hip-hop guru Cody Edwards, the core class is suitable for pre-teens of all levelswhere they learn the dance moves for an eclectic mix of old hip-hop classics and new hits.
Jazz is a highly expressive and unique genre of music. It is a quintessentially American form of music that relies heavily on improvisation, poly-rhythms and syncopation.
This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers typically need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.
What is Afro-fusion? Afro-fusion is a fusion of West African, Hip hop, jazz, and HBCU (majorette) dance styles. Classes are upbeat and begin with a warm-up, followed by movement across the floor and a choreographed combination. Serious fun for your muscles and cardio while learning a blend of rhythmic styles!
Classes are for students ages 8 and Up.
What is Tap & Tone? Tap & Tone is a great fitness workout that promote cardio, energy, enthousiasum in a non-judgemental and supportive environment! There is an emphasis on rhythm and basic technique that is sutable for all levels.
Tap & Tone is for ages 16 & Up.
First session begins February 18 and runs for 8 weeks.
Pricing for a 45 min class is $55 for an 8 week session. See separate registration form for this class.
Our studio takes injury prevention very seriously. Conditioning the body and injury prevention work are essential to every dancer's training, as well as adults with prior injuries. Stretch and strength classes will assist students to increase their endurance, strength and flexibility. We prepare exercises based upon the student's needs with the goal of bettering their way of life. This classe is open to non-dancers, as well. Judgement-free zone.
